Going Above and Beyond
Sterling Insurance Group is thrilled to announce Westfield Insurance will not just match Sterling Insurance Group’s donation to Copper Country Strong: they are exceeding it greatly! Westfield has stepped up to Sterling’s challenge and donated $5,000 to Copper Country Strong relief efforts.
“Disaster recovery is very important to Westfield, and we are happy to help with these initial efforts,” said a Westfield representative.
The Backstory
In June, following devastating floods in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, Sterling Insurance Group challenged a number of insurance carriers in its network to step up and match Sterling’s donation to Copper Country Strong (Click here for the full post on Sterling’s blog). Sterling Insurance group employees quickly rallied and organized to find a meaningful way to support their neighbors in the North. Sterling Insurance Group’s philanthropy group – the Sterling Cares Committee – came together to make the decision to support one organization leading the way on recovery efforts in the wake of the floods: Copper Country Strong.

Only Westfield stepped up in a big way.
“We are aware that it can take months and years to recover from natural disasters, which is why Westfield is focused on disaster recovery,” said a Westfield representative.
Combined, Sterling was able to raise more than $7,000 for Copper Country Strong! Thank you to all who have helped us raise funds and awareness for these recovery effort!
